The two drums (picture) with the rotary cutters are driven from above. Both turn to the center. They enable a decent high swath formation, so that you can drive on the turf the next time you drive over it. Drum mowers work reliably even under the most difficult conditions. Due to the ease of movement, these mowers can be used from 18 hp tractor power.
Lifting is either mechanical or hydraulic.

Der Antrieb der beiden Trommeln (Bild) mit den Messerkreiseln erfolgt von oben. Beide drehen sich zur Mitte. Damit ermöglichen sie eine ordentliche hohe Schwadbildung, sodass man bei der nächsten Überfahrt auf der Grasnarbe fahren kann. So arbeiten Trommelmähwerke auch bei schwierigsten Bedingungen noch zuverlässig. Durch die Leichtgängigkeit können diese Mähwerke bereits ab 18 PS Traktorleistung verwendet werden.
Die Aushebung erfolgt wahlweise mechanisch oder hydraulisch.
